Sending Alert Video to cloud storage
Sending Alert Video to cloud storage
Hi, I have my BI5 ~20 cameras write to local disk 24/7. I am wondering if there is a way to write motion detection videos to a different folder that I could upload to a cloud storage system. (or write them directly) I don't want to write the regular video as its a huge amount of data. We travel often and months at a time is not uncommon. Having all the motion detected video off site could be very helpful if something were to happen while we were away.

Not directly, but would cloning a camera and only allowing it to record "When Alerted" work ? Then just under that setting - setting the clone to record to the cloud folder instead of "New" ? Add "Cut video when triggered with break time" to chop the videos smaller ?
If that works it just seems too easy.

Re: Sending Alert Video to cloud storage
Some services let you sync specific folders and files for monitoring, I suppose you could create a sync folder as TimG outlined and then have BI save alerts to that folder. The sync app would then manage uploading the new files to the cloud.
