remote web view playback
Here is my situation. I have two installations of BI, both are the latest version 5.3.3.16 x64 When I access BI using Firefox 82.0.3 the live view is fine. When I try and playback any of the clips, the clips play but the "handle" for seeking through the video doesn't move and the time code...

Re: Re-install service to remove BlueIrisService.exe dependency
Well yet another tidbit. I had one camera set to re-encode because I needed overlays. I set it to direct to disk and BAM... memory usage DROPPED to about 1.35Gig immediatley! I then turned encoding back on, and memory increased to about 1.55Gig and is now holding steady! I wonder if the encoder had ...

Re: Re-install service to remove BlueIrisService.exe dependency
Well not so fast....
memory usage has crept up to 2.14Gig and is still creeping up.
I'll see how far it goes before windows complains about running out.

Re: Re-install service to remove BlueIrisService.exe dependency
Don't know what I did different, but NOW it is functioning fine!
I will keep an eye and see if anything else messes up, but for the moment it is working!
memory used is 1.84Gig, cpu hovers around 50%.

Re: Re-install service to remove BlueIrisService.exe dependency
Almost forgot... there are no spaces in my user ID. I tried with and without a password too.

Re: Re-install service to remove BlueIrisService.exe dependency
Thanks Reddawg for the reply. I am running Win 7/64 right now. I will give it another try and see what happens. I did downgrade to 5.2.4.6 x64, and the memory used crept up to over 6Gig and crashed my system! I did a system restore and that fixed the memory problem and the "start BI as a servic...

Re: Re-install service to remove BlueIrisService.exe dependency
Well I tried to get the service to start, and after entering my user ID and password seemingly successfully, when I reboot and BI tries to start, I get a popup saying that BI service failed to start, and the run as service checkbox is unchecked. I verfied the user id and password for windows and it ...

Re: Re-install service to remove BlueIrisService.exe dependency
After trying several times, I tried my system's user id (auto filled) and password and it worked.
There was no indication which user id should be used.

Re: BI5 - Camera Dropping and Delayed viewing
HHmmm... interesting about Win 10! I am still running Win 7 64, and I have had 2 of my 10 cameras drop out, and tried rebooting the cameras (power cycle), and they didn't come back. I let it go since they were not high priority cameras, and a few hours later they came back on their own! They went do...
