Yeah there no hardware warnings in blue iris but that's fair it was not designed for that. The underlying problem is not the failing drive but blue iris itself. Turns out the download listed is not the download you get which needs to be corrected although updating in program simple.

The hidden issue in this case looks to be the ssd which is at 10% life

Certainly explains the behaviour the ssd doing this

More interesting is i manually downloaded the 5.9.9.18 update and installed it over the old one. It showing as version 5.9.9.14 not 5.9.9.18 so something is clearly broken. Three of the cameras are doing full time recording and the others are all motion triggered.

Sort of figured i could just set the drive to the 6 tb but figured its best to check with the expert just encase
