Problem resolved, once i wrote about I saw the profile on the camera was not what I thought it was. it works now.

When using the blue Iris 5 remote setup I have a "Red X" on the web server page - HTTP Listening Port 81 Web request Error 12002 I am pretty sure i have open Port 81 on my ATT Router. What else can i check to see if the port is open? also is port just"81" or is it "8081"...

Does that happen even if you are using the mobile device to surf the internet at home ? I think that needs looking into, as it could be pointing to the problem. I just check my anti virus application (AVG ) and in the exception list I had Blue Iris 4 .exe listed instead of Blue Iris 5, so i removed Blue 4 and added Blue 5.
