...and YES, use backup & Restore. There will likely already be a current backup there that you can use.

Running BI as a service means you don’t have the full GUI running. If you don’t use the PC for any thing else and/or don’t care if it’s “all” running then just auto running it at startup won’t be an issue.

Did you backup the old BI system. You should be able to import that with minimal setup afterwards.

It seems like I would need a static IP from my ISP to keep the SSL certs working, or can DDNS take care of that?

OK, I just wanna get this straight in my head... You’re running a Linux (Fedora) VM, setup with VirtualBox, and a little help from XTerm. This is all on the Windows BI machine so you can run a Nginx Reverse Proxy server. Which should be more secure than Port Forwarding for UI3. Is that about right? ...
