Re: Frame window independent auto-cycle?
Thanks for the suggestions. I dd try running Blue Iris on the main and then UI3. It does seem to add a fair bit of CPU cycles running both on the same computer. But it IS a possible solution. I haven't tried yet having a full screen window auto-cycling in UI3, have't played with it enough yet...

Re: Frame window independent auto-cycle?
No, I haven't. But are you suggesting I can run UI3 on bothmonitors? I'd still like to be able to run it on the local monitor.
Can you give me an example of how to run it on both? Thanks.

Frame window independent auto-cycle?
I have currently nine cameras spread over two floors in a retail operation. There is a local monitor at the Blue Iris NVR and a second monitor on the wall behind the cashier. The NVR has two HDMI ports, one feeds the local monitor and the other has a 35 foot HDMI cable over to the second monitor. In...

Re: NVR
I'm a relatively new user, so bear that in mind... Am running 9 cameras, 5 MP each, Recording when Triggered, CPU Utilization now very low (10-30%) but it took me a while as it was initially at 100% and very maxed out... Have i7 (3rd Gen), 8 GB RAM, 256 SSD, 4TB Purple Drive, etc. Windows, BI and th...

Re: Directo-to-disk and tiggers not working
I think you should be able to get it working with the tips above. To reiterate--you need to first set the camera parameters using the camera's web interface BEFORE you set the parameters in BI. Set the camera to H.264 and the Profile to Main. Then in BI set to Direct To Disc etc as mentioned. I am u...

Re: PC Sizing
First of all, a disclaimer--I am a relatively new Blue Iris user, so bear that in mind about my comments... I am running currently nine 5MP cameras and an older i7 (I think it's a Gen 3) Lenova Small Form Factor sized desktop with 8 GB RAM, of which it's using a bit less than 4. If you are recording...

Re: Do I need both New and Stored Folders?
Thanks again for the tips. I have now implemented a number of the suggestions I've been given and/or able to research and the CPU is currently running between 10-25 percent, depending on how many of the nine cameras are being triggered--and therefore recording--at once. The cameras are 5 MP each run...

Re: Dual monitors
Yes, I did try multiple groups. The result was that any cameras in the group that were being Auto-Cycled on the second monitor did not show in the group on the first monitor, even when that group contained all cameras and the group being Auto-Cycled was just a subset...

Re: Do I need both New and Stored Folders?
Thanks to all who responded. I think for now I will just do away with the Stored folder. If I get a second SSD to put the New folder on--instead of on the Purple drive--then I will revisit this. I'm new with Blue Iris so haven't got into the Performance Monitor thing yet, but I will check it out. Th...
