Re: Mini PC running Intel Atom processor
They work. Since I wanted a dedicated machine I started with a Intel Stick Computer running an ATOM CPU just to test BI. I ran mine for about a year before getting an old Dell for free. If you only have a couple of cameras all is good. But like all, there are tradeoffs. If you only run 2k cameras at...

Re: NTP clocks and LAN disconnected from the internet
The BI5 pc is on my internet enabled LAN, but the cctv is on a secondary LAN via a second NIC that doesn't have internet access. The cameras cannot see the official ntp servers. I'm running a time server program on the BI5 pc that was recommended for this use, an old program called NetTime. This wa...

Re: Instant rewind, either using a slider or some other method
Hi Everyone Wonder if you can help, I am after a method where I can rewind either a single camera or several while in live view. This would Be a benefit as by the time you have heard a noise, fired up the app on the ipad, you are looking at 20 seconds. By then, the incident may have passed. I am th...

Re: Beginners Question
I have been running my setup offline for about six months and there are issues with updating. The update installation is not reliable when downloaded and installed. They do not always update. The last successful update installation for me was 5.2.6.1. Everything after that would not install. So I ha...

Re: 5.2.5.10
This is so bizarre. People are reporting higher cpu and issues with recordings. I find it doubtful that BI updates are to blame. But, then... what the heck has recently happened besides the updates to BI? I've also noticed issues with running Blizzard battlenet and Starcraft 2, higher cpu and locki...

Re: 5.2.5.9 update
I just downloaded the update from BI and it is the correct 5.2.5.9.
The download that I got from the unmentionable website was actually 5.2.5.8 but is labeled 5.2.5.9.
Live and learn.

5.2.5.9 update
I just ran the 5.2.5.9 update and my About screen on BI5 says Release 5.2.5.8 x64 (04/19/20).
What's up with that? I never installed 5.2.5.8.
Has anyone else seen this happen?

Re: Update Release - Notes
The help file is regularly updated and includes an Update Notes section. I would hope you would have seen a reference there but in my experience it can be a bit hit and miss. I have a couple regular warnings that show up in my log and some help file searching revealed what were non-issues in my app...
