Files randomly not appearing in "Alerts"
A couple of my cameras will randomly drop from their files being displayed under "Alerts". The cameras are configured to be triggered on motion events and this continues to function. The files typically appear when selecting the "Alerts" filter. The files DO appear in the "N...

Re: Find locked file
Hey TimG When I view the log (within Blue Iris Status) it lists "New" in the "Object" column. I presume "New" refers to the folder the file is in??? All my files are in one folder, on a local SSD, called "New". I don't sort/move files into any other folders. I...

Re: Webinar 12th March 2021
I believe it was referred to the developer of UI3. I have not seen any further response.

Re: Foscam FI9853EP sub-stream access
I resolved this issue by using some guidance provided in the thread "Blue Iris 5 sub-stream profile Foscam FI9828P". TimG noted he was able to get the sub-stream working on his Foscam R2 by setting the model to "C1/C2/R2/R4/FI98xx/99xx RTSP". I used the same setting for my FI9853...

Foscam FI9853EP sub-stream access
I have a couple of Foscam FI9853EP dome cameras. They are working within my Blue Iris environment (HD main stream). These cameras have a sub-stream but, after multiple attempts, I can't get them to work with BI. I do have other cameras working with their sub-streams, but these Foscam's have proven t...

Re: sub streams
I found my problem. The cameras were not configured properly. I had used the "Find/Inspect" tool which auto populated the various fields. It had defined my cameras a Foscam models when they are actually Hosafe models. The config did not include sub-stream definitions. Oddly enough, when I ...

Re: sub streams
You can verify yours is set up by viewing the Blue Iris Status window... on the Cameras tab should show a FPS/Key and associated Bitrate AS WELL AS a Sub FPS/Key and Sub Bitrate. If the sub isn't showing anything, you're not configured right - yet. Thanks for the info Matts1984. Both "Sub FPS/...

sub streams
I am a little confused over the use of sub-streams. The manual refers to sub-streams being used with 4MP cameras. I have 2MP cameras that provide a sub-stream. I have "Record dual-stream if available" enabled but there doesn't seem to be any evidence that this is in fact working. Can someo...

Re: How to upgrade and move to another computer
thanks for the comments I find the "BI manual" (aka the Help file) to be a little vague on this subject. I presume I go to the Download section on the BI web site and click on "Download V5"? Once downloaded I can run it (install) on my existing BI4 machine (which would upgrade me...
