Re: AI Person detection images too late
Just a thought, for the email alert, won't the required AI objects of "person, cat, dog" mean that all three of them have to be there to trigger it ? I use person, dog, cat, unknown on my AI "To confirm" trigger. It will fire the MQTT alert on any of those (not only all of those). Th...

Yes. I see it as well. You are not alone (and I'm glad to realize I am not alone).
The recordings are there if I browse for them by camera/by hour. Just (mostly) black screens, definitely odd behavior in playback.

Re: Record only motion when B/W
Sort of a strange request without the details. Why would you want to record only when in night mode? Is it a time of day thing that roughly matches your interest? A schedule that roughly matches local sunrise/sunset would seem the best bet. Or is it because its a room and you just want motion when t...

Re: Gmail
Gmail has recently stepped up security requirements to use their service on 3rd party platforms. I suspect that's the reason.
You need to do:
Server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Connection security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: OAuth2
Then your username/password credentials.

Re: Best way to add another monitor
At risk of sending you down a new rabbit hole, you can also pull the streams from BI onto a Home Assistant dashboard. So then you just need a way to pull up an HA dashboard in a browser (RPi, etc.). Here's one of the configs camera driveway: - platform: mjpeg mjpeg_url: http://192.168.1.XXX:YYYY/mjp...

Re: anyone recommend IR flood lights? Impact on animals?
My understanding is the bugs are attracted to the IR light. So those cameras with a ring around the lens (mine 😣) just attract those spiders to web over the front. So added bonus for off camera IR flood. For the technically determined (me! :D ) you can trigger lights to turn on upon motion or AI det...

Re: Updates?
Ha! I came here wondering about this. I mean really we're spoiled by the steady release of updates. It was surprising to check and for several weeks not see anything, having got used to seeing often a few per week.
Any new/improved/fixed features list for this 5.5 release floating around out there?

Re: BI does not detect motion with Reolink RLC-410 5MP cams
I seem to mention it on the forums all of the time, and sometimes it's the solution, but with Reolink cameras UNCHECK Limit Decoding Unless Required on the Video tab for the camera settings. It causes BI to only analyze Key Frames and I think the primary complaint of Reolink is you can't set the key...
