Re: ON RESET with AI
I think I can answer my own question. The On Reset zones and other sources like AI are a filter such that On Reset will only execute actions where the original trigger matched the criteria you enter on the On Reset configuration. My issue was actually unrelated to this configuration. I had mistakenl...

ON RESET with AI
Release 5.9.9.6 I've been using On Alert/On Reset for a while and both seemingly worked reliably but something changed and the reset has stopped working so likely I've misconfiguration something. I have an On Alert that pushes to MQTT when zone B and AI has triggered something with person:60. I've r...

Deepstack 2022.01.1 not starting
Deepstack was updated on 1/22 to 2022.01.1. I installed the GPU version. Deepstack instance cannot start via BI.
Is anybody else observing this behavior?
The fix/hack is apparently to copy the deepstack.exe in the server directory and name the copy "server.exe"

Re: Deepstack Ai night tweaks ?
DeepStack announced a model specifically for night images - https://forum.deepstack.cc/t/deepstack-exdark-detect-objects-in-dark-night-images-and-videos/934 Obviously you would need to reconfigure DeepStack to use the "custom model". It would be great if BI had a night mode setting for DS ...

Blue Border for frames sent to Deepstack
The documentation update for BI version 5.4.6 indicates a blue border should appear indicating frames sent to DS. I don't see these when using the Tuning and Testing menu on a playback clip. I have BVR direct to disc set and record on trigger set. Has anyone else seen this border? From the updated f...

Re: AI based Alerts - &JSON is empty
Yeah, I tried &JSON in an alert/push and got nothing. I notified support and they indicated they would test it.

Re: Config cams in BI or cams at their GUI or BOTH?
In my experience, even with new cameras, the BI motion detection is superior, especially when coupled with AI to eliminate false alerts from shadows, leaves, etc. At one point I tried using motion detection on the edge in some new Hikvision cameras touting AI for human/vehicle but Onvif alerts never...

Re: Playback Snapshots...
The ClipBoard icon brings up the "ClipList"
I believe all snapshots are treated the same way and end up in this list (live view or playback snapshots). If you right click on an item it will show you the containing folder.- Sat Apr 17, 2021 6:18 pm

Re: Blue Iris 5 Crashing This Morning
Beginning this morning, Blue Iris 5 began starting up but initially stopped complaining about the service. It would then quickly disappear. After several attempts, I was able to unclick the option to run BI5 as a service on startup, however, that didn't help. I then tried uninstalling BI5 and then ...
