Re: question about Link payment system
I am not 100% sure but I thought I read somewhere that you no longer need to enter a support key if you renewed on the BI system that is getting the Maintenance Extension. Thanks BruceH, you are correct. I was told by Ken at Perspective Software that when you purchase the extended maintenance suppo...

question about Link payment system
Greetings, I just renewed my Blue Iris 5 maintenance 1 year x 1 with no issues using Link. Everything is activated for a full year of maintenance support. While I did receive an email with a receipt for the renewal, I did not receive an email containing the maintenance key license. In the past years...

Re: Microsoft Basic Authentication
Update: As most of your know, version 5.9.9.x added support for Microsoft OAuth email authentication. For some strange reason, Microsoft OAuth email authentication would not work for me with my Hotmail account. After updating to version 5.9.9.1 and changing the email server Preset from MS Hotmail/Li...

Re: Microsoft Basic Authentication
I put in my email address for user: me@outlook.com Selected oauth, it sent me to outlook to sign in, asked for my alternate email address, sent a code to it. When I entered the code, it connected and BI was good to go. I followed the same steps as you described and it said that it was successful. H...

Re: Microsoft Basic Authentication
Version 5.9.9.0 contains the fix which works. My understanding is that Basic Authentication for MS Hotmail/Live/Outlook was depreciated/discontinued sometime in September 2024 by Microsoft. This was about the time when I noticed that Blue Iris email notifications stopped working using Hotmail for m...

Re: Blue iris 4 or 5 does not load anymore, no splash screen
Done everything in the link.. also uninstalled reinstalled ... still the same. Right now to keep my security running I am using isky software... I'm actually liking it. Hopefully someone can find a better fix... the internet is filled with blueiris users having the same issues. I wondering if your ...

Re: Compatibility issues with Windows 10 20H2?
DOES ANYBODY SEE ANYTHING IN THOSE RELIABILITY REPORTS THAT INDICATES THE CAUSE OF THE BI CRASHES?? Not really. I am not familiar with an AppCrash specifying StackHash as faulty module. That being said, I would recommend trying the following below: 1) Make sure you have excluded Blue Iris folder pa...

Re: Blue Iris 4 database repair options?
I ended up deleting the old database (renamed folder) and created a new folder with the service stopped of course. My reason for even posting here was I did not know if this would delete all of my camera settings or not. I do not know if all of the camera setup details are in the database or not. A...

Re: Blue Iris 4 database repair options?
I would try exiting from the Blue Iris 4 console, then stop the "Blueiris" service in Services.msc, then delete the contents of the DB folder in C:\BlueIris\DB, restart the "Blueiris" service, re-launch Blueiris.exe console and then manually repair the database. FYI: To manually ...

Re: Amazon Echo
Amazon Alexa integration with Blue Iris has been depreciated and no longer works. Blue Iris used the "discovery" model in Alexa to control cameras by emulating a Smart plug instead creating a Skill app. I believe Amazon has depreciated the "discovery" model used by Blue Iris. I d...
