Can a samba fileserver cause problems even with a very fast network? I find that I sometimes have problems when BlueIris is doing housekeeping when reaching the limit I set for the storage. Don’t know of another way but you’ll have to disable the substream on the clone and then it will no longer be a clone and will be pulling its own stream, you can then define your area of interest etc and the triggering and recording will all use the main stream.
