Just a quick followup for anyone else who may find this thread. Profiles when configured with schedules did the job, and it turned out to be way easier than it initially appeared. Aligning the schedules with Sunrise/Sunset is rather awkward, but currently seems to be working, I guess time will tell....

I did read a similar forum post which suggested the same solution for a different problem.

The profiles/schedules usage doesn't seem intuitive, but if that is indeed the correct path I guess I won't be wasting my time trying to understand how it works this weekend.

Once it's dark, all a camera can see is car headlights. While BI will trigger and save the alert, it then gets cancelled once past on to the AI. Initially I just disabled AI for the camera concerned, however I now get the tens/hundreds of tree shadow alerts during the day which AI was able to cancel...

I also am quite surprised this can't be done as I would find it extremely helpful, I don't want alerts clogging up my inbox when I'm here to see them in person.

I thought I may be able to have Gmail filter all my unwanted alerts outside my hours of interest but this also looks impossible.

It seems to be fixed on 5.8.1.1

I've recently replaced our entire server and gone from 5.7.9.12 to 5.8.0.15. Everything went well, and even the import/export feature worked better than expected. I have however now noticed that our only user who has groups configured gets an "empty list" message when logging into the web ...
