Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

SUCCESS! I installed the TP-Link mesh system today, and I am no longer experiencing videos that are delayed and/or jerky. They run smooth like they should. The only problem I had with the installation was with the 3rd node...it didn't install as advertised. But I quickly found a fix, so all three no...

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

Tim, I agree that we concluded that my problem is a wifi issue. To this end, I have just ordered a TP-Link 3-node mesh system that I hope will improve my wifi. I have a land line and a cordless phone, both of which I have had for years. I also have an iPhone that I have had for couple of years. But ...

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

You must be using Blue Iris version 5...I am still using version 4. I do not have the Main Stream Profile on my Video/Configuration screen; in fact, I can't find that Profile anyplace.

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

@nh505g - I can't figure out how to get the Stream Profile Information and corresponding Network URL for my cameras as needed by VLC. Any hints/suggestions?

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

@ Tim - None of my cameras are hardwired to the router. In fact, except for the two mentioned above, they are all outside observing wildlife. They worked for several years that way, then all of a sudden I started experiencing the video problems. @ nh505g - Thanks for your response. My grasp of BI4 i...

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

I successfully pinged all my cameras, and the values ranged from 81 ms (a camera sitting on same desk as router) to 923 ms (an outside camera approx 100' away). I do want to mention a significant data point that just occurred. Yesterday I moved two of my cameras back inside the house...one resides o...

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

Tim, all my cameras (6 total) are wifi, currently connected via a brand new Linksys router. They do not use my fiber optics modem except when I am trying to view them via my browser and/or setting up each camera with the FOSCAM software. Although I have degrees in Physics & Math, I am self-taugh...

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

Thanks for your continued help. Per your suggestion, I will not upgrade to BI5 at this point. Instead, I will go away and try and get answers to your good questions. I do have other PCs that I can use; I even have BI4 installed on a 2nd computer, but it currently exhibits the same delayed and jerky ...

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

@ Tim G - I added my K drive folders (New, db & Converted/Exported) to the Malwarebytes Allow List. The BlueIris.exe file was already there. I also did a health check of my Drive K...no problems. I also viewed a couple of my videos using my browser, and my videos were still jerky and delayed. I ...

Re: Clip Videos are Delayed & Jerky

No, I have not set up an allow list in Malwarebytes, as Blue Iris has never been blocked. But just in case, I will do that. When you talk about the possibility of a drive going bad, in your case that would be your Drive E, where you store your Database and New folders. Correct? In my case, I store m...
