Remote access often shows "..session has expired. Attempting recivery..."

Hello, i am using BI5 and the UI3 web interface, and it's working fine locally. But often my remote access fails and says "Your Blue Iris Session has expired. Attempting recovery..." and it shows a big red box with a crazy number of .mp4 files referenced. Any ideas i can try to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Could it be due to another pc ? My thoughts are that is is an IP:Port clash, but do you know which pc/device has those MP3's on it ?

Does the BI pc have a static IP address ? and is it in the DHCP window of the router ?

If that doesn't make sense, we will cut it into simpler steps.

Anybody else any other ideas before I go off on a tangent :?

Ah, can you further define local and remote too ? Does local mean on the BI pc, and remote mean another pc on the home LAN, or does remote mean a pc on a different remote LAN ?

Thanks very much for the replies and suggestions. Yes, the BI computer has a fixed IP address which i assigned in the router. I don't think its related to an IP clash or another PC. Interestingly, the names of the .mp4 files seem to be similar or same as the ones BI uses for alerts, so may be a BI internal problem or setting I have wrong. See new attachment showing same name "this-is-it.mp3" in the red error box and in BI alert sound options. Also, when i said working fine locally, i can use the LAN IP address of the BI PC from anywhere on my local network for the UI3 interface. For remote access i am using the WAN access - where the BI dialog says "Remote, external (Wan/Internet) access". That had been working fine for a year or more, and only started being intermittent in the lase few weeks with the expired message and red .mp3 filenames popping up.
