Hi, as per other users, I have been running BI for a number of years, I have 7 various cameras, all monitoring via UI3 (Chrome browser). I have always enjoyed sound from every camera, but i just noticed that I now have no sound on any camera, also the volume bar is missing in the UI3 GUI. As far as I am aware, no config changes have ocured in my setup or network, only updates of the main BI V5 software. If I right click Properties, on any camera in UI3, it clearly states: 'Audio: No'.
On the server itself, I can clearly hear the audio playing on each camera.
Can someone assist please?
Kind regards.

Re: Audio gone in UI3
I'm not sure which button you guys are pressing, but I can say I still have audio in UI3 here and I'm on the latest version of BI5. I'll have a scoot around the settings to see if I can find it.

Re: Audio gone in UI3
OK, let's compare settings to see if we can find the difference. Looking at a Dahua in UI3:
1. Properties/Audio: Yes.
2. Same camera on BI5 screen, right click settings and "Play live audio" is ghosted. Click on it and can now hear audio on BI5 pc as well as UI3 pc. Click off, and audio on UI3 pc only. No change to "Audio:Yes" in UI3 (refreshed screen to be sure).
3. My BI5 audio settings for this camera are: .

Re: Audio gone in UI3
Thats for looking at your settings, I can confirm I have exactly the same settings, but still no audio in UI3, BUT... I do have audio from all cameras in the BI5 PC (this is a Windows Server 2019 VM running in KVM, which is the way I have always ran it).
Re: Audio gone in UI3
Two things that would isolate the source of the problem are first, a screenshot of the About this UI window. Then log into UI3 using a different browser, and different client. Is the anomaly present regardless of browser or client? That will tell you where to look.

Thank you YrbkMgr, you pointed me in the right direction.... It was the user, somehow, in UI3, I was using a user which didnt have the 'Audio Listed/Talk' option ticked, thus resulting in no audio on any camera, makes perfect sense now. I created a new user (with 'Audio Listed/Talk' option ticked), logged into UI3 with that new user, and now have audio on all cameras.
Thank you for all your help.
Kind regards.
