Audio Stream on ONVIF Camera

Post by FidgetyRat »

I have a Golbong (Green-Backyard) birdhouse camera that works fine in BlueIris with the exception of the audio stream. Audio works in their native app "VMS", but not in BlueIris so I know the camera is functioning. I am running as a service so I don't expect the audio to work in the BlueIris frontend in Windows, but it's also not recording to clips and not streaming to UI3 (Nerd stats shows 0 bits on audio in the Web UI). I have enabled web streaming of audio, have audio selected on the camera etc.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi, I also run BI5 as a service, and audio works fine from the cameras that have it both in the BI5 GUI and in UI3.

As for the Golbong, do you know what format the audio is in ? A quick web search does show it to have an inbuilt microphone and to be using G.711 so you are close. The Onvif port is correct too. What does Find/Inspect show you ?

I suggest looking to see if the camera have a webserver so you can have a look at the audio settings. What options does it have there ? Most of my success has come from fiddling with the settings on the camera and within BI5 until it gives in

I just found this https://green-backyard.com/connecting-b ... -software/

I can confirm that I can see Golbong as a camera manufacturer in my settings. Does that help ?
