OpenEye Compatibility
OpenEye Compatibility
I inherited an existing OpenEye system (running an 12 TB OE-MA-Gen2 recorder and 10 4MP OE-C3212D4-S dome cameras) and want to be able to run it locally without paying the OpenEye licensing fee through an installer/third-party. Does anyone have experience replacing the OpenEye Apex software with Blue Iris and/or know which recorder would support both Blue Iris and comparability with the existing 10 cameras?
Re: OpenEye Compatibility
Hi, a lot of questions in a simple looking query !
You can trial BI5 as a demo to see if you can add these cameras. You need a fairly powerful Windows PC running 24/7 for BI5. I note that BI5 does have OpenEye as a camera manufacturer, but I can only see one camera there, a CM-816 (2MP PTZ). If you know the IP address and Onvif is turned On in the camera, then Find/Inspect may be able to fill in the settings in BI5. Worth a try.
