Mobile App driving me nuts - help!

Post by blasterman »

Running BI 5 latest version with about 30 cams. Runs superbly, and browsing to it from any LAN based machine via the web interface is silky smooth. No complaints.

Mobile app. Different story. It used to run great on my Android, but as we increased cameras it started crashing and freezing.

What I've found is if I leave the mobile app alone and let it sit on the frozen screen for a minute or two I can then hit the camera icon. Once I get to a single camera, it runs fine and I can flick through various cameras just fine. Which tells me the problem is with trying to display all 30 cameras. However, I don't see anything regarding the mobile app that lets you set a specific camera as a 'landing pad'. Suggestions appreciated.

You could try using groups?

You can then assign groups to users, that what I do but I only have 9 real cams and 3 clones.

Yeah....that's what I was thinking. Just set a single camera in group and have that default on the mobile app. But, that's where I'm stuck. Likely missing something obvious, but I don't see a way to do this for the mobile app.

You create and configure groups in the main BI GUI app then assign the group(s) to users. Next time the user connects using the mobile app the groups will be displayed.
