Sorry my formatting skills need work! See attachment BlueIrisQuestion.png
My Intensions are (see attachments BI_Settings_1.png, BI_Settings_2.png, BI_Settings_3.png):
1. Make a time lapse video spanning several years.
a. I understand(?) that I will have to create multiple files to be spliced together later
b. NOTE: I have no need to view these videos until after they are compiled – so no live viewing needed)
2. Record 1 second of video every 10 minutes (when the profile is active)
a. The initial destination is to be on my SSD drive (drive C) in the directory c:\Time-Lapse-Init using storage folder “TimeLapse-I” (formerly “Aux 1”)
b. Record in BVR format (possibly direct to disk???)
c. Videos to be combined or cut every 96 hours or 4GB
3. Move these videos to an non-SSD drive (drive D) in the directory d:\Time-Lapse-Final using storage folder “TimeLapse-F” (formerly “Aux 2”)
a. Move to happen practicable (no hurry) – I set it for 4 days 2 hours i.e. 98 hours
b. Convert these videos to MP4 during the move and add overlays (if direct to disk was/can be used)
c. Leave these videos in TimeLapse-F until I get around to combining them
My questions are:
1. Do my settings look correct – any suggestions for improvement ?
2. On attachment BI_Settings_2.png the transfer to TimeLapse-F do I assume that on dialog “Convert/Export” the “Where” section is ignored as it is specified by the “Move To” destination of TimeLapse-F on the storage page? (My guess is that as this dialog is also used for batch converts/Exports that “Where” would then be used???

OP: Have I not Posted This Correctly?
I am sorry to bug you but I am surprised that with 246 views I have not had even one reply - not even a criticism of the content or where I have posted this question.
Please let me know if there is anything I should correct about my post.
Thank You

Re: Questions on TimeLapse and Storage Options
Hi Dan, there is nothing wrong with your thread, it's just that nobody appears to have done this before
I think your biggest problems would be automatic Windows and BI5 updates preventing recordings. Turn them off and you should be able to manage them manually when you have time to fix things.
