Blue Iris 5 Dekco Camera Support

Post by jtaps »

Has anyone been able to connect a Dekco DCL4 IP cam to BI5? If so, please walk me through the steps.

I can find the camera DHCP IP assignment by the MAC address in the router list of devices and can ping it. But it does not have a built in html server, so am unable to access or log in with a browser. I’ve tried setting up the camera in BI using the generic driver but no joy. That’s as far as I’ve got.

No html server for an IP camera ? I believe Dekco has the CloudEdge app for a mobile phone ? If this camera is supposed to work with other NVR's then it will have an RTSP feed or work with ONVIF - it's likely to be something like this:

1. Read the manual,
2. Log in to the camera with CloudEdge,
3. Find the ONVIF settings,
4. Turn on ONVIF,
5. User may default to "admin",
6. Give it a good password and write it down,
7. Does it show the ONVIF port ? Possibly 8000 ? Write it down.

Armed with the user, pw and IP address, add the ONVIF port then click Find/Inspect in BI5 and see if BI5 can find the camera.
