I’ve just purchased this refurbished desktop for Blue Iris V5
I’m being told so many conflicting stories that this computer won’t run windows
Is anyone else using a 7050 to run windows 11

It's a strange question as you are asking if a pc you have bought with Win11 installed will run Windows.
I think the question may be if it can run Win11 properly. The answer to that may be no, simply due to the age of the cpu and the restrictions Microsoft have for the cpu when installing Win11. Check up on cpu requirements for Win11.
It may have Win11 installed as I think you can install it on most pc's. However if not authorised you may find it cannot do Windows updates.
Two of my pc's had Ryzen 1800X cpu's. They worked well, but MS had decided that cpu could not run Win11. I swapped out the cpu's for the fastest Win11 compatible cpu's that would work with my motherboards and installed Win11. All working well.

Last I read on this subject I think Microsoft’s list of CPUs started from 8th gen onwards which is why it was replacing my BI PC I always suggest getting one with an 8th gen or newer.
If the PC is only going to be used for BI then to me it makes no difference if it’s running Windows 10 or some other OS as it’s just sitting there in the corner.
Might be an issue when Microsoft stops supporting Windows 10 but until then I personally am not going to worry about it.
As TimG has pointed out, if it doesn’t officially support Windows 11 then you might have a future issue of Microsoft blocking updates to it which is something that they have threatened to do.
