Blueiris full screen alert issue

Post by daniellib »

Hi All,

Posted this on IPCAMTALK, still unresolved, someones gotta know the answer.
Couple of issues that I can't seem to resolve, Searched over the last 2weeks without being able to find a solution, contacted Ken at tech support but he was unable to reproduce the issue, Hoping someone has come across this;

Here is my issue;
I made some changes to the camera layout. The full-screen alert feature is still functioning correctly; Blue Iris is successfully triggering a camera to display in full screen on the external monitor.
However, since playing around with the layout of my camera's, I've noticed a change in behaviour. Previously, when multiple cameras were triggered, they would mix together on the screen (I could have 2, 3, 4+ camera's displayed at the same depending on how many triggered). For example, if camera 1 was triggered, it would display in full screen. Then, if camera 2 was triggered, both camera 1 and camera 2 would be shown together. Now, it only displays one camera at a time. When another camera is triggered, it waits until the first one is done before displaying the second.
For the life of me, I can’t figure out what I changed to change this, Basically I stuffed something when I changed the layout and then it started behaving like this?

I have a 2nd issue which I also can't figure out, I have 8 camera's total, 6 using ONVIF for motion, and the other 2 using blueiris for motion. The ONVIF camera's are working correctly (I.e generating Alert's), however the other 2 camera's, trigger but won't post an alert? Also tried playing with the settings, but cannot figure it out?

Thanks in advance

Daniel

What was your initial objective in editing the layout? Maybe revisiting what you were shooting for will jog your memory about the sequence of huntin' and peckin' that could have led to things getting hosed.

All I know is there are a lot more ways to screw up the layout than to simply arrange it to your liking.

Any chance the new layout was renamed as a different group than the one that was working as intended? I'm leaning toward something along those lines where the original group attributes were somehow not applied to the new layout.

On the other hand if this is actually an 'Auto Scan" situation where the desired activity is automated and not manually activated, check the settings below, or whatever there happens to be in your particular version. (This example is from 5.7.4.6.)

It may be a longshot but is the only place I've found the options to achieve what it seems like you're describing..., sorta..., maybe? LOL
