High,
Has anyone successfully got the Tapo C720 floodlight camera working in BI ?.
I hav BI version 5.9.9.19 running on Windows 11, I can discover the C720 but it never connects instead I get an Error: 8000007a (Check Port/User/Password) 0
TP-Link does say you can use it with 3rd party applications but isnt very clear on how you do it .
Any help appreciated.

Re: TP-Link Tapo C720
Have you got the camera working with the "Tapo" app yet? If it is like some of the other Tapo cameras I believe that you have to enable the "Camera Account" and set a user ID and password which is different than the one that you use for your Tapo account. It's been a while since I got my C520WS camera working in BI.
Re: TP-Link Tapo C720
I just set up three wireless Tapo cams in BI. The steps are as follows.
Set up the Tapo camera in the Tapo app by following the instructions.
1. In the Tapo app, Advanced options, enable Camera Account.
2. Create a simple user name and password (these can be anything and should be different from the Tapo app account). Some Tapo cams apparently do not have this option and will not work with BI.
3. Enable PNP if you have that option (my Tapo would not show up in BI until I tried to enable that option).
4. Determine the camera's IP address and set up the camera in BI.
5. Enter port 2020 for ONVIF discovery
6. Enter the Camera Account username and password in the camera setup window of BI
7. Click Find/Inspect button. It should connect to the camera and populate your Main stream and Sub stream pulldown menus with the proper URLs. Choose the proper streams and save the setup.
That's it. It should work now.
That said, my Tapo C120 frequently lose connection, sometimes they lose sub stream, and I had to set up the watchdog function to soft restart them when they stop sending data. It repeats in general my experience with Wyze WiFi cameras, and confirms my conviction that WiFi cams don't come close in reliability to POE ipCams. But given the extremely low price point, that is to be expected I suppose.
