activation failing

Post by OnFire »

I was having trouble with a camera stream (on 64x version 5.9.9.23), so I restored to a Blue Iris backup (.reg file). In hindsight, this was clearly a mistake. While that worked to restore the camera stream, I got sent back to evaluation mode. I tried activating with my original v5 code (from 2019), but it can't seem to hit the activation server ("Unable to automatically complete activation"), and the offline server just produces code "0" from a variety of computers and browsers. I emailed support over the weekend, but no response yet. This evening, I tried uninstalling and complete reinstall, but the issue remains unchanged. Rolling back to version 5.3.706 (last version on my original 1-year license) just results in a failure with no offline option. Also tried rolling back to 5.9.8.02 which yields same result as the current version. Using my currently valid maintenance code just results in a message that it is a maintenance and support key.

Getting frustrated. Is the activation server really down or is it just me? Any other ideas?

System:
Windows Server 2022 (10.0.20348 build 20348)
Gigabyte MC12-LE0 (B550)
Ryzen 3900X
64gb DDR4
LSI 9400-16i HBA
Marvell AQtion AQC113C NIC
no GPU

Did you e-mail support using the link in BI, if not then it is unlikely that you will get a response, emails without the product information etc will not get past the spam filters!

I did, but maybe I put too much information in with screenshots and such in addition to the required information.

As long as the information that was copied to the clip board was pasted into the email you should be good to go, just remember BI is not a big company, it is just one guy doing everything (he might have a helper now)
