I apparently accidentally checked "Open in desktop frame" when right clicking on one of my cameras at some point.
Right clicking again on the separate camera window and unchecking this option puts the camera window back into the main display window as expected.
HOWEVER, whenever I restart BI the separate window pops up again, and right clicking on that window shows that "Open in desktop frame" is indeed checked.
I can't figure out how to "clear" this setting permanently, i.e. when the program is started up.
Any advice greatly appreciated...
Jerry
One camera always popping up in "separate window" at startup??
Re: One camera always popping up in "separate window" at startup??
Oh, jeez. This happened to me once and I had a heck of a time getting it fixed.
I am so sorry but I forget the solution.
I am only providing emotional support that I have done this before and it is very frustrating.

Thanks - perhaps we can start a "support" group, I'm available Fridays...
PS - I wrote to support, let's see what happens...

Re: One camera always popping up in "separate window" at startup??
Well I have this exact same situation.
No matter what I do BI keeps starting up with my cameras in desktop frames and no matter how many times I uncheck that box it always opens in a desktop frame.
I am at the latest release as of 2/1/2025
Any ideas ??
Thanks
Pete

same for me. Been like this for a few weeks now. Seems like a bug since it's not remembering the setting when I uncheck 'open in desktop frame'.

The same is happening to me. Several weeks ago I accidentally set it to desktop view and now it just keeps happening everytime I restart. Clearly a bug.

Re: One camera always popping up in "separate window" at startup??
found a workaround hack. Requires registry editing.
Go here:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Perspective Software\Blue Iris\Cameras\
The cameras have their own subfolder with individual settings. In my example, my camera with the issue was called 'garage'. It's also known as 'cam7' in my configuration.
I then compared the various camera settings and I noticed the spawn key in the normal cameras was set to 0, but the garage was set to 1.
So I went to the garage folder and set the garage spawn key to 0.
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Perspective Software\Blue Iris\Cameras\Garage
This is now placing the garage camera (cam7) into the main group layout and not sitting out in its own frame.
