I have a weird issue whereby I am getting alerts for a vehicle in a certain zone, but only when there is another object picked up by AI in a different zone.
Zone A = entire frame (street + driveway)
Zone B = smaller section of frame covering driveway, only but not street
My Alerts are only set for zones B-H, not A
When a vehicle drives down the street (Zone A only) and a person is simultaneously in Zone B (and also Zone A since Zone A covers everything), I get a push notification for the AI Object "car" with "Motion_AB".
So yes, technically there was motion in Zone B, and it was correctly analyzed by the AI as being a person (and thusly ignored), but the notification should not have occurred since the car motion was only in Zone A. I only want to pick up "car" when it is in Zone B.
Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Alerts for Vehicle not in motion zone
I'm not at my PC atmo, but isn't zone H the hotspot zone that triggers from everything without restriction ?

Re: Alerts for Vehicle not in motion zone
Motion and Ai are two separate functions.
BI will list all motion in enabled zones. AI will conform objects in those enabled AI zones and alerts can be set per zone (as you already know).
This is normal...
- Motion is reporting that motion was detected in both zones A & B with Motion_AB,
- Alert is pushing only on AI confirmed Zone B.
I had this exact scenario as your having.
What I ended up doing was to clone the camera as 'Record on Trigger'. The Master camera is still the entire Zone A. The clone isfor Driveway only using zone A.
The benefit of this...
- Less confusing.
- Let me use different motion & Break-Time settings for the driveway. I want shorter Break-time for traffic, and longer Break-time for Driveway to lessen Driveway alerts. Also, since Driveway is in the foreground, motion sensitivity settings would be much more sensitive for the background street area.
- I set the Driveway cameras color to Yellow, which shows in the timeline so I can easily see any past activity in my driveway.
I do the same for the camera on my front door, colored Red.
