What is the current AI Object Detection I should be running

Post by roechas »

I have been running CodePoject AI 2.9.5 for the last year. This past month, I noticed that I have not been getting any alerts. After digging, I found that CodeProject had crashed and was not running. I had YOLOv5 .NET and YOLOv5 6.2 installed. I tried starting Yolov5 6.2 and it started and then shortly crashed with this error
detect_adapter.py: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'codeproject_ai_sdk'
15:45:15:Module ObjectDetectionYOLOv5-6.2 has shutdown
15:45:15:detect_adapter.py: has exited
15:45:17:Server: This is the latest version

So then I started YOLOv5 .NET and it started fine and seems to be working.
I then uninstalled YOLOv5 6.2
Im concerned that this may crash again and Im not going to know and wont get any alerts.
Is there a way to ensure this always runs or alerts me when it crashes?

I have seen other Object detection engines out there like Blue Candle now Blue Onyx.

Should I be migrating to a new object detection engine?

Thanks for any advice!

I wasn't aware of these new AI engines. What we need are some links so we can read about them. Hmm, supports MikeLud's models ?

@MikeLud: What do you think ?

I don't know if it still works, but I did have MQTT telling Homeseer if CPAI stopped at one stage. Looks like I deleted it from BI5 though:

Some experimentation would be required :!:
