I think the learning point from the previous text is that one failing IP camera can pull your entire BI5 system down, so figuring out how to disable them is the key.

That's currently quite difficult unless you are comfortable with making changes directly in the registry. Maybe BI should have a Safe Mode startup feature where for example if the SHIFT (or another key or key combination is pressed) when the console is launched it disables all the cams.

Much like you can do with for example MS Word and Outlook to stop addins loading?
