MMS text messaging with AT&T

Post by WireLand »

I can not get MMS text to wotk with my ATT account. Email is setup properly and I'm receiving email alerts, but text (MMS) messages fail. Does anyone have any suggestion. I've tried gmail to send text messages and half the time that fails of is hours late. Is there a better solution.

OK, I can see you have deleted a post for security. I have redacted the personal info and copied the image here.

Does anybody know if AT&T presently allow MMS messages to a mobile phone from BI5 ? The only thing I can add is that "Carrier" also has "AT&T mms". This might need you to send a query to AT&T.

It has been quite a while but I experimented with this and found that ATT was not agnostic towards email servers. I was using ##########@txt.att.net and #######@mms.att.net. I did most of my testing using email accounts not BI although results were about the same. Using my gmail account to send messages often failed (more than worked). My domain server rarely worked. My Proton email account worked every time, IIRC.
