Something has happened to my dedicated Windows 10 Blue Iris computer running BI5 v5.4.9.7. My M.2 NVME C drive has 418 GB of useable storage. I have my "New" folder limited to 310 GB on the C drive. The "Stored" folder is on a separate D drive. My C drive has filled up. When I look at the status in BI it shows almost all of the C drive is full of "Other Files". There is only about 15 GB listed for recordings. When I run Samsung Magician it shows the C drive as having "good health". I did a Windows chkdsk scan that did show some drive errors. These seemed to be repaired ok and a repeat chkdsk scan shows no drive errors.
I have no idea what all these "Other Files" are. Do you think my M.2 NVME drive is actually failing, despite what Samsung Magician says? Please help if you have any ideas. Thanks!
Help! C Drive Is Full!
Re: Help! C Drive Is Full!
As to what the other files are I would hazard a guess that some of them are the operating system! Have you looked at the drive using windows explorer to see how large each folder is? Have you checked the recycle bin? Are you using part of the drive for windows backups or anything like that? A utility like Treesizefree can be very useful to see what is using the space. To be honest with you if you plan on storing much video, 500GB of total drive space is not going to go very far! (Edit - I missed the part that you had a D drive for storage!)
Re: Help! C Drive Is Full!
It's not the operating system. The entire Windows folder is about 10 GB. My "other files" in BI5 is using about 400 GB. Nothing is being backed up to the computer. It's only the local C drive that stores the "New" folder of video. When that folder fills, the oldest video in that folder moves to my D drive on a NAS with plenty of storage space. I will see if Treesizefree can help show me the "other files".
Any other ideas what has gone wrong?

Re: Help! C Drive Is Full!
If a database delete/rebuild doesn't fix it I would suspect a failing drive.
