Cameras not updating when all cameras are displayed

Post by Jim »

I'm having an issue when all cameras are displayed. None of the cameras are updating when all cameras are displayed. When each camera is selected individually, video displays as it should. I have two BI5 machines running. The other machine is running fine. Both computers are the same model. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled BI5 to the latest version. Any suggestions?

I think this would affect individual cameras as well as the overview screen but have you verified the pause button in the upper right isn't red (selected). I hit that when closing the interface on accident and it paused all the displays.

Thats the first thing I checked. This issue seems intermittent. I just checked and it was running. I did nothing. yesterday I stopped and restarted the service to get it going.

This was never a problem apparently until the latest update. I wish there was a way to revert to a good recent version when these things happen. This is a security app and needs to be reliable above all.

That was it. I don't know how it was paused. That is something that I will always remember. Thanks!!!

'Blue Iris Tools' has a 'BI Update Manager' that lets you recover previous versions.
There is also a user on this forum that has a update backup & recovery program.

OMG Terk - 5 days (and 4 new patch updates later) this comment - "make sure the "pause live" button isn't red" - saved me. for 5 days, when i panned or modified a camera setting - the camera did nothing. they wouldn't update, wouldn't pan (using the camera grid view of all 10 of my cameras). i thought it was an update bug, or my system was running low on CPU, memory or my video card couldn't handle it. I didn't know what the issue was - it was the dang Pause Live button - it was on/red.

THANK YOU
