Dear Support,
Latest update 4-23 broke blue iris. was working fine for the longest time, did the update from the APP as usual and now nothing works.

The service is running but starting the App says service not available or not initializing properly.

web server down too. restarting/disabling service does not help

installed update manually from website and still no luck.

Installed full version and this remove the service and now the app just crashes.

Thanks for the heads up. I normally just use the web interface to my BI4 instance but with your warning I'll be extra careful not to do any upgrades.

fixed it my self. I will be more careful with updates crashing BI. Wont be the first time actually.
I will just tell you what worked.
1. uninstalled and deleted program data. Saved "backup.reg" file first
Clips and database were saved on a 14tb separate drive. left this alone.
2. removed the two perspective hives in the registry.

3. installed full version from website.
it works! but new installed
4. installed my license
5. imported the backup.reg from step 1
6. Rebuilt database and everything seems fine.
