Configure Hikvision DVR

Post by kannan »

For some time now I have been using a Hikvision DVR (Model DS-7216HQHI-F2/N) as a network I/P Device. I enter it's local IP in "Network IP Camera Configuration and click find/inspect. This populates the "Main Stream" box and all I have to do is create this box 16 times (One for each camera) and change the camera number in the "Main Stream" box, this gives me access to all 16 camera's on the DVR and also in Blue Iris and has worked well for a number of years.
However recently Blue Iris 5 takes a long time to pick up these camera's after a reboot it could be as long as 2-3 Hours, but it does eventually display then so I can only assume the settings I am using are correct.
Can anyone suggest a resolution to this as it is very useful to use a DVR to network 16 Analoge camera's

I just solved this for a customer. For you IP Address is probably just the IP Address of the NVR. For me, I was connecting remotely and thus the router address in instructions.

Thank you for your response it does work at first, but if I reboot the DVR it does not connect to the camera again This is what has been happening with all camera's it will connect after a time (could be a few hours) so this suggests that the setting are correct but the delay is too long
