Only record on external trigger

Is there any way we could get an option under the record tab to record video only when triggered by an external trigger? That would make it loads easier to use a single camera (instead of cloned) for some of the tools out there using AI to detect certain objects.

What kind of external trigger are you using? If your camera supports ONVIF you can trigger based on the ONVIF event from the camera. If the camera has physical alarm I/O, you can trigger on the alarm output using the Global DIO trigger. You could also use a variety of other methods to trigger via Global DIO.
