Yes, reversing it should get you closer. There is Smart Sentry AI that is integrated into BI however then pics from your motion detection are sent to a cloud server for processing, there is also a small subscription cost. Whereas the DeepStack and AI Tools combo are completely local and free but more work to setup, I've had good luck with both but have been using DeepStack and AI Tools exclusively for almost a year now. With the newer version of the AI Tools the is a masking ability which would work like you were originally trying which confused me at first since the interface looks the same as BI uses but it processes opposite as a mask rather than an inclusion zone.

I just repositioned the camera..

Seemed easier than playing with the ZONES..

But I appreciate all the replies and assistance. Next time I have to work with ZONES, I'll be a little more knowledgable..
