ZeroTier Adapter
ZeroTier Adapter
I recently changed my ISP to Starlink, which has been great except now I can't remotely view my cameras. I stumbled across ZeroTier and decided to set it up. I followed the instruction in a youtube video (https://youtu.be/dmqrK2Fomqw) and got everything installed, but when I restart BI5 and try to change the adapter I still only have my original. So far I've been unsuccessful in finding a solution. Has anyone else had this issue?
Re: ZeroTier Adapter
How I have my ZeroTier setup is in BI I have the ZeroTier IP as the WAN IP, see the below screenshot and in the mobile app I also have the WAN IP set to ZeroTier IP. All LAN IPs I leave unchanged.
Re: ZeroTier Adapter
MikeLud you are a genius! Everything is working great now. Thank you!
Re: ZeroTier Adapter
Hi, I am unable to click on your picture. Can you send it to me ? I am in the same situation as above. Blueiris won't see Zerotier adapter in Blueiris.
I have tried delaying the Blue Iris service to give ZeroTier time to load but I'm not sure why the adatper is not coming up still.
Re: ZeroTier Adapter
My working ZeroTier settings between BI5 server and android mobile:
BI5 settings/ Webserver
LAN = No change. The normal home router static IP address of the BI5 server on my LAN. It doesn't need anything more as long as the BI5 server also has a ZT IP. I note I can see the ZT IP address in "Adaptors".
WAN = Empty. There is no WAN connection now as you use the virtual ZT LAN wherever you are.
BI5 android app settings
LAN = <ZeroTier IP of BI5 server>:81
WAN = <ZeroTier IP of BI5 server>:81
I'm not sure if I need the WAN details on the android, but it works (as long as you have enabled both devices in ZT) so I will leave it alone. Maybe you do if the BI5 app figures out you are no longer on wifi and it tries to connect to WAN. IFIRC I was able to PING the mobile devices ZT IP address from the BI5 server with the mobile device using mobile data.
Let us know if that gets you sorted
