5.2.0.0 Update...

now I can't access the console asks for username and password and this was never requested, I tried the same ones used in the app and via browser, it doesn't work. via app and web all cameras are muted. bad upgrade. I have been using BI for over 9 years and have never had these problems

Seems to be an issue with Foscam only, this is being repaired for 5.2.0.2 later today.

He must have been able to replicate this. Not to many people must be using these 960P Foscams.

In addition to the lack of audio in the cameras Foscam C1/C2 after last night's update, the camera names in the bar of each camera have disappeared.

5.2.0.2 fixed the audio on these Foscam FI9826P v2 cameras.
Ken responded very quickly to this issue. I'm impressed.

still cant use software after update . what are the user name and password something new

I'm also being presented with username/password prompt. Nothing works as far as being able to configure anything but the server is online.
Anything news on the login screen being there and not being able to get beyond it?

I have 5.2.0.4 and it's asking for a local_console login name and password every time I start it. Other than that it seems to be working fine.

How does one get rid of this login prompt?

If you never set a password for this account then you can just hit [RETURN] and it'll login.

The problem for me is that this will prevent it from starting without manual interaction, and I definitely don't want that. I want it to just start without any login prompt.

This is a setting that you can change- right click and select "Show camera names" to make them show or not show.
