Thanks, the automatically start problem is largely addressed after upgraded to version 5.2.6.2. A reboot usually can start the service fine. I did reinstall the windows C++ SDK file which was required I remember at the earlier days in blueiris 4 otherwise error with windows 10 stop blueiris from running (service or desktop), however that alone did seem fix the problem. Not sure either the blueiris upgrade or later windows patching might have done the magic.

There is however occasionally the blueiris service failed and stop running, can be related to too much video streaming such as spider busy with some cameras generated a lot alert. I used to run the blueiris tools from desktop and use its watch dog to bring up the service again in the event of this. For some reason the blueiriis tools now cannot be launched with an error complaining about image files that have never seen before.

It'd be nice to create a watchdog windows service that can automatically start upon reboot and recycle the blueiris service when needed. by the way, the two track of update is nice, now I feel much more comfortable with the stabilization patch track in this pandemic time than upgrade with uncertainty. Kudos to the author, although I can find the update file in the %programfiles%\blue iris folder like in the old days, but seems now that's taken care in the blue iris UI if I want to roll back.

Thanks,
