We are getting closer. If BI5 doesn't know how big your drives are, or how much free space there is on them, then chaos will ensue. I have never seen this before - note this is a peer to peer forum, and we are learning too - so do send an email to Support for official help.

So:

1. What does Windows show for the drive sizes ?
2. Is there anything special here like a VM ?
3. Or a NAS drive ? (Noting the 18TB drive).
4. Or a normal pc with a few hard drives in it.

Does anybody have any other ideas here ? Feel free to post

I just made some changes to the BI Settings Storage settings. This is now my BI Status Storage, followed by my BI Status Log.

Are both the c and d drives local drives?

What changes did you make, maybe post screenshots of the actual storage settings?

I finally got my issue fixed. The bIDB failed 161 was a problem with the PATH NAME. Ken in support was able to tell me what to look for. I have copied the contents of the email below.

KEN:

The error 161 is BAD PATH NAME.

WHat do you have for the New folder on Settings/Storage? Did you override this on the Record tab in camera settings?

Double checked all security software exemptions?

CHARLES:

On the Settings/Storage I have D:\BlueIris\New1. I did have it as C:\BlueIris\New, but changed it trying to get things to work.

On the Camera Settings, I have C:\\BlueIris\New\&CAM.%Y\%m\%d\&CAM._%H%M%S as the folder name.

I use Windows Defender as my virus protection. I have not made any changes to that. I looked at the Allowed Apps for Windows Defender Firewall. See the attachment.

KEN:

Two things:

C:\\BlueIris\New\

You have a double \\ in there

You don't need to put the full path ... just put

&CAM.%Y\%m\%d\&CAM._%H%M%S

So to summarise, you made a change and that broke it

Would have been worth just backtracking the change you made as that might have pointed out what you did wrong.
