Good morning, does anyone have recommendations for my clips/ archiving? I have a Lenovo desktop running Intel i5-10400F CPU@2,90 GHZ.
BI Program loaded on C:\ (1TB) and the E:\ is the 6TB WD Purple drive in the PC that is dedicated for BI files.
Please see screen shots for my current settings:
* New F:\BlueIris\new 500GB (145days) then move to Stored,
* Stored e:\BlueIris\Stored 500GB then delete.

Re: Snapshots rather than Motion & Over Allocation Errors
I think there are some typos in what you typed and when we're talking an precision, that detail would be helpful. That said, the screenshots show whats needed.
I think you have your "Stored" and "New" settings flipped and also your DB is set to use the C: (which is good/fine) but both your New and Stored are set to E:..... Is that intended? It sounded like you wanted New on C:\ and Stored on E:\.
If you're going to have Stored and New on the same drive... there is really no benefit of segmenting the two. The benefits of this option is if you're moving the files to a new storage medium. You could just allocate all E storage to 'New', optionally set a Day limit, and then delete.
As displayed your configuration doesn't completely add up. New is showing as 5TB and 15 days while Stored is 500GB (0.5TB) and also 15 days and all on the same drive. Perhaps you wanted:
New to be 500GB (days depends on your cameras) on C:\
Stored on E:\ with 5TB (if not using all 6TB that is has)
Your post also mentioned an F:\ and I see no indication you're using that. It may also be because of the overallocation issues but your DB seems extremely large as well at 37GB. I'm floating about 5.5TB of video and my DB is only 210MB, might be something to keep an eye on as well.

Hi MatrixWPB777,
To add to what Matts1984 said, once you have done that, if you still have red segments, then reduce your folder sizes until the red disappears.
Is the 6TB drive ONLY used for BI5, or do you store other stuff there too ?
