I don't know if I'm using the terminology but:
I have a licensed copy of Blue Iris Ver 5 Purchased 11 2020 and have 11 camera's on a Server that runs 24 hours a Day. And I have remote desktops that can access my server through the web. Also have 6 mobile devices that access my server through iphone's and Android phones.
I hope that clears that up. The reason my remote desktops are messed up is the same reason I can't restart my Camera's from my BI server or Get BI Status Log to showup on the server. Yet when I go to show file on the log page the log is working.

All of this is leading to something has crossed over on the script from desktop display camera views and the Streaming Connection.

Thanks

Am I correct that you actually have two issue, you can not view a single camera on the actual BI PC and you can not connect to the BI PC using UI3 from a web browser (on the same PC or a different PC) since UI3 is configured to use an IP6 address on the BI PC. If the primary issue is the IP6 address then we should get that sorted out first.

I think that we cross posted, I replied at the same time as you! You have a very complex setup!

Is the BI PC working properly directly from the console of the PC and are the cameras all viewable on the BI PC, if not then that has to get sorted out first?

I'm no expert but the only place I'm able to find the Ip is in the Web Server folder and only under Remote Access Wizard. So, I have made a screen shot of the current settings.
Only one issue I could not figure out how to get rid of the MAC address on the Web Server Tab: under Local Internal (LAN) Address:
Well, after some looking I clicked on the Carrot for (Adaptors) under the Local (LAN) Line and the right IP address came up but as you can see I can't clear out the in the information on (adaptors) there is not way.

I have 4 more that need to go.

Thanks

Joe

Joe:

I am not seeing any issues on the screen in question, the mac address is just the ethernet adapter in your local computer, that setting is only there for people that have two or more ethernet adapters in their BI PC, you will not be able to remove or change it and you should not!

The use of an open port to connect to BI as you have done is a significant security risk, you should strongly consider another method of doing your remote access or you run the risk of someone hacking into your computer. I am not sure why they still offer this as an option. I have three systems and do not have any open ports for remote access on any of them, I use the OpenVPN server that is built into my internet router, it is a bit of a pain having to connect with OpenVPN before I can see my camera systems, but it is better than risking getting hacked! If you examine your BI log you will probably see hundreds of connection attempts!

Joe:

You should probably delete any of the screen shots that show your external IP address, and especially the one that shows your remote access UserID, using the same UserID as your ID here in the BI forum is also not a good security practice, with the IP and your BI UserID a hacker only has to crack your password to gain access to your BI system!
