Reolink RLC-810a usage
Re: Reolink RLC-810a usage
This is great. I've downloaded for my 820A and will install immediately. But I have a slightly OT question: I also have a 520. Is the 1sec iframe upgrade likely to be released for other cameras (specifically the 520)?
Re: Reolink RLC-810a usage
I'm using four of them, along with two '820a's.
I had problems initially but contacted the manufacturer who provided a beta version of the firmware that allows setting of the keyframe ratios which sorted everything.
I've set my interframe space to 1.
If you contact them and ask for "IPC_523128M8MP.494_21073003.RLC-810A.IMX415.8MP.REOLINK.pak" you may find that also solves your issues.

Re: Reolink RLC-810a usage
Struggling with the RLC820, I love the Image Quality and Night Vision is amazing!! but Deepstack alerts only seem to work 25% of the time, I was able to get the Main/Sub stream working and both show an avg of 13-15fps in BI. I copied the camera profile when adding from another camera that is working perfect yet Deepstack doesn't show most motions alerts in the log file.
Camera is on my Porch showing the front door/lawn/driveway, I walked out of the house to the car and within seconds got an alert. Great! I got home pulled car in driveway walked in and nothing. My Deepstack alerts are setup for person only just like my other cameras that work 95% of the time for alerts. (Other cameras, HikVision, Amcrest)
Also with the latest update of BI something changed and all my cameras greyed out the option for record dual streams if possible

Re: Reolink RLC-810a usage
I have been fighting with the 810A for the past week with their support and they have been focused on different stream sizes. After reading this thread I tried the following;
Used the ReoLink Model H.265 RTSP setting for the camera without the Decoder compatibility mode setting and ensured using the reolink windows client that the interframe space is set to 1 for both the clear and fluent streams
Using the ReoLink Model H.265 RTSP setting versus the Generic/ONVIF, has resulted in much better fps and the key frame rate imporoved from between 0.25 to 0.33, close to 1 as shown below. The system CPU utilization is lower and the recordings no longer pixelate or go all grey and it seems to be capturing all images, unlike before.
My only issue is the alerts only play back around 7-9 fps so they are a little choppy

Re: Reolink RLC-810a usage
I literally made this account to say thank you for fixing my issue. The second I changed that 5-sec update setting it completely fixed my problem.jiddahidda wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 3:41 am I have six 822's, and have been spending the last few days going through settings and tips and firmwares and finally stumbled on a red herring that was tripping me up. I hope I save someone else as much time as I wasted as it was painfully simple and probably nothing wrong with Reolink. It could be that I had secondary issues that I fixed using the settings that sbaker1106 provided, but I sure didn't notice until fixing this other issue.
Under the Camera's tab of the main BI settings is a setting that limits the refresh rate while using Remote Desktop. My Blue Iris computer is tucked away in a closet, I purely connect to it via RDP. So when I changed the setting from 5-sec update to Unrestricted, I noticed massive improvements.
To be clear, I'm using sbaker1106's posted settings, and the latest firmware that MrE alerted us to, the .450 firmware disguised as .250 released 20/08/21.
So far, my setup is running really really well, thanks @sbaker1106 for your guide.
IF ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM, CHECK THIS FIRST! WORKING IN OCT 2024! Specifically if you use RDP!

I'm getting lots of gray frames on the Main stream when set to Clear 4k. Are there still issues with H265? It's been 4 years, I thought these should've been fixed by now.
Any known fix for the constant gray frames? My camera firmware is up to date.
