Proper time sync is important, not only between the cameras and the NVR, but between the NVR and Blue Iris.
Everything should be referencing the same time server with synchronization set for every twelve hours at absolute maximum.
Camera's timestamp and BI timestamp don't match and progressively diverge
Re: Camera's timestamp and BI timestamp don't match and progressively diverge
I have the same problem with my Reolink RLC-823A 16X cameras. I first noticed this is in the Reolink App on my tablet view station. After about an hour I believe the live feeds would get delayed by several minutes and it would get progressively worse. The issue is not the time stamps being wrong, but the live feed footage that is being received by Blue Iris and the Reolink app eventually starts lagging behind, like its getting too much footage and it takes a while to process it all so it starts falling behind. On my Hikvision NVR, two of these cameras running in 4k at h.265 causes the system to lock up. Mind you my Acusense Hikvision NVR is rated for decoding 32 1080p cameras at once (320 mbps incoming bandwidth). The problem is Reolink is a shit, and they would rather ban you on reddit than admit their own problems.

Re: Camera's timestamp and BI timestamp don't match and progressively diverge
Give it a rest, dude. It's an old story anywhere you post it and get's more boring every time.
But here's a NEWS FLASH! Amcrest doorbells are trash and their support is non-existent. Reolink blows their doors off in both categories. The end there.
And I get no such ads with my Reolink app. But if I did I wouldn't make a career out of whining over it and posting links all over the place about it.
Btw, I also conquered the time lag issue with both the RLC811A and the RLC810 4K cameras with Blue Iris and still using H.265. It's easy when you actually take the time to figure out how.
Blue Iris doesn't like H.265. Period. It especially doesn't like multiple 4K cameras pushing H.265 at it..., any 4K cameras.
A 1080p DVR with all the bandwidth in the world won't process an 8MP stream at 1fps if it doesn't have the processing horsepower. And an app on a tablet will? Really?
All that aside, if you haven't been over to IPCT bitching about getting run from a Reolink subreddit yet, by all means make that your next stop. They'd love to have you.

Re: Camera's timestamp and BI timestamp don't match and progressively diverge
You must be that arrogant Reolink mod that banned me for "threatening" to screenshot your posts. I am going to just assume it is you because you sound like you heard this story before even though this was the first time I posted it here. And that is ALL the evidence I need to link your identity to him, LOL!
Anyways, so you are saying that you don't see this "cyber monday" ad when you open the menu bar? Honestly I will admit, that isn't a big deal. But what is is the periodic "extend your warranty" pop ups in the home page, and the orange dot badges on the menu bar that notify you of stupid things like "reolink captures" which to the average user is completely irrelevant. All I want my camera app to do is manage my cameras. That's it. I don't need my camera app to double as a marketing communications platform too. That's what email is for and is the respectful way to send junk mail to the end user, not the interface of the app.
Anyways this time problem is certainly related to Reolink. We will see though, I will be removing every trace of Reolink from my house after being insulted in such a manner from someone representing their brand, and using Hikvision from now on.

You are saying Pogo is the arrogant Reolink mod ? A bit of a leap, but I wonder if he can get us a discount
As for ads, I run a Raspberry Pi3 as a PiHole which gets rid of 99.9% of ads on ALL of my LAN devices. Empty spaces where the ads should be. Those guys deserve a frikkin medal. Must send them a donation again £$€.

Re: Camera's timestamp and BI timestamp don't match and progressively diverge
Can that PiHole prevent the reolink app from displaying that orange dot notification every time there is a new "Reolink Capture" event? If the App can be salvageable (meaning no stupid pop ups or distractions so I can observe my security cameras in peace), then I would consider not dismantling everything and switching to a different NVR.TimG wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 6:58 am You are saying Pogo is the arrogant Reolink mod ? I tried PiHole on an unused Pi3, and the instant effect of it on my LAN gave me the biggest sh#t eating grin ever
Some experimentation required in your case, but it will make your everyday surfing more pleasant.

Re: Camera's timestamp and BI timestamp don't match and progressively diverge
So has anyone found a definite fix for this problem? On my viewstation tablet with the app open 24/7 I notice this problem too after about 30 minutes. After a few hours the time stamps/video feeds are minutes behind. What firmware do I need for a RLC-823A to fix this? I have a doorbell and a couple RLC-842A cameras too but I dont think I've noticed this on them.
Re: Camera's timestamp and BI timestamp don't match and progressively diverge
Fixed it with beta firmware. Linked is where you can find it (at least for the 842a and 823 16x models)
