Blue Iris

Hi ,

the Challenge is trigger recording trough an external switch. Switch on > recording start, switch off recording stop. I need a Interface card ,USB or Ethernet, to work with Blue Iris. I read about Sealevel Devices or Adroino. Unfortunately, I don't have any knowledge of programming. Is it possible with a Sealink Interface ? wich one can you recommend? Or there any other way ??

I guess it depends how quick you need the switching to work. I use BI5 with Homeseer HS4, and BI5 motion detection is used to turn lights on. I haven't tried it the other way, but HS4 does have a "trigger" for each BI5 camera, so i could use a HS4 remote control to command recording on. Turning off doesn't look so easy !
