Blue Iris

I've found using BI motion detect consumes too much CPU power. (I have 11 Amcrest IP4-1028). The cameras have their own motion detection and I wanted to try that but cannot seem to get BI to trigger. I've tried using the Amcrest software and the alerts do get passed to it so I believe I have the cameras setup. I've checked the boxes in the BI trigger. Is there anything else I should be doing?

It's not clear what you have ticked. Have you ticked "Camera's digital input or motion alarm" in the BI5 "Trigger" settings for each of the cameras ? I assume this will work with some cameras but not with others - but that's a guess at this stage.

Have you done the usual methods of reducing cpu loading ?
