Hi all,
I can't send emails to BI support today. All email addresses seem to be down. According to the main website, they have been having problems since the 18th April.
I'd be worried about it if BI5 wasn't getting updated so many times a week
BI Support email addresses all down ?

Well thats no good. But yes the frequent updates are still good (for us).
Maybe a post or something on the official forum would be nice.

I just sent one about 20 minutes ago...we'll see what happens. Hasn't bounced back yet.

Re: BI Support email addresses all down ?
It's the same for me today. The message bounces back immediately and an error message states that the "remote mailbox is unavailable , invalid DNS MX or A/AAAA resource record.".
Since I am part way through changing my own www domain, I was worried it could be due to that, but it DOES state that the "remote mailbox" responded as above. Oh, and my email is working everywhere else

Re: BI Support email addresses all down ?
I've just tried with a Gmail email account, and it appears to have got through - at least it didn't bounce straight back.
OK, logical head ON. I have my existing www domain, and I have my new www domain with different hosting companies. I use Thunderbird for email in POP3 mode for both domains, but Thunderbird only uses ONE of the accounts for the outgoing server. Why POP3 AND IMAP ? That way I can read emails in IMAP mode for both accounts on my mobile phone, and then save all of the emails on my home pc. I have twenty years of archived emails
1. Outgoing smtp server set to use my original account. Should be OK, as I'm sending from that account = instant failure.
2. Outgoing smtp server set to use my new account. Appeared to send OK, but failure messages returned after a few minutes:"support@blueirissoftware.com
all relevant MX records point to non-existent hosts or (invalidly) to IP addresses"
3. Gmail account - seemed to get through. No error messages after five minutes.
Have I lost the plot ? Is it time to hang up my screwdrivers and pull a pair of comfy slippers on
Now I seem to remember a few people complaining that they didn't get a response to support emails. Maybe there IS something weird going on here...

Well what is a fella to do ? I've reported my own thread to the moderator to see if they can let Ken know that something appears to be amiss. Hope I haven't accidentally banned myself

Ken responded to the gmail email that I sent, so that got through. Can somebody confirm if they can or cannot get non gmail emails responded to from support ?
