Blue Iris

Hi All,

I have been using Blue Iris for about two years now. I am currently running 4.8.6.3 version. I noticed there was a version 5 out now. How is the upgrade from what I have to the new version? Does it keep all the settings or do I have to set everything back up again?
Is there a compelling reason to upgrade? My system runs fine, the motion detection could be better, I have played around with the settings several times and I think I have all the cameras set to their best settings.
Just would like it know if it is worth the upgrade of dropping another 70 bucks or not.

I upgraded about a month ago or a little more to get my push notifications working again. I followed the upgrade steps Reddawg outlined at viewtopic.php?f=4&t=584 and everything was pretty much in the same place as 4 so really easy to use after the update. I also signed up for the Sentry AI service through BI and it works great to reduce false positives to almost 0 as far as alerts go.
