Windows Updated Now Blue Iris 5 (or 4) Wont start!

Hi,
As the title suggests, Blue Iris no longer works since Windows updated itself. I became aware of this as I tried logging on to UI3 today but there was no connection so I checked the Windows VM that runs BI (as it has done for years) to find that I had the "Welcome to Windows" screen after an update.
The service will not start, although sometimes it does just for a few seconds so I uninstalled BI5 and re-installed only to have exactly the same issue but not running as service this time. I uninstalled again, installed BI4 only to have the same issue.
I really do not know where to begin troubleshooting for this other than to re-install Windows?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
