Hello i just got my equipment and setup for the first time so i don't know if this is a common issue for cameras/software. i've included a screenshot.
the issue happens to all 3 cameras intermittently but once it happens it usually lasts a few hours, most i've seen it happen to so far is 2 cameras at the same time. it can be resolved immediately by just right clicking on the camera in blue iris, clicking "camera settings" and then hitting OK without changing anything. basically in blueiris if i look at the live feed it will be scrambled up with colors like this. keep in mind, i can still see the outline of my home, fence, etc. so its almost like the colors are scrambled on top of what the camera sees. if i view the camera directly from my computer instead of using blueiris, the feed is fine. also in my blueiris recordings/alerts, if this scrambled appearance is there on the sample image of the recording, the entire alert or recording won't play. so i'm thinking maybe its something with encoding?
cameras are...
UNIPC-3204WD-I
UNIPC-3204WD-I
UNIPC-2204FWD-IS
i use an extra laptop i had which seems to pretty easily handle my small setup of just 3 cameras. the CPU fluctuates between 15-70% depending how many smartphones are using the app and stuff.
i'm on the latest blueiris software
the computer is on windows 8.1
i5-3210M 2.5GHz
4gb ram
1tb original hdd
direct camera configuration i've just changed to be 15fps
from a fresh blueiris default install, all i've changed/configure is....
all 3 cameras are setup the same
i have setup for hardware decoding Intel®
direct to disk is on
continuous recording, 1 hour segments or 4gb
max 15fps
disabled BI overlays
and i was curious about how well the triggers worked so inside the motion detect i dragged the min contract and min object size both all the way to the left and set it to 0.2
object triangles
added a check to "camera's digital input or motion alarm"
BI shows camera feed scrambled
Re: BI shows camera feed scrambled
This sounds similar to another current thread on this forum: https://blueirissoftware.com/forum/view ... f=4&t=1368
I wonder if it has something to do with the Intel decoding.
